Mesotherapy is a medical treatment that reduces cellulite. Mesotherapy was developed in France in 1952 as a pain management therapy and was initially used as a treatment for such conditions as rheumatism, sports injuries, vascular disease and infectious diseases.

Since then it has developed into a treatment for cellulite and ‘fat pad’ reduction in areas such as buttocks, thighs, ‘love handles’, abdomen and chin. It is the most effective and long lasting treatment for cellulite and fat pad reduction available. It is a non-surgical procedure that does not require hospital admittance, general anaesthesia or downtime.

This therapy involves the injection of small quantities of medicines just under the skin into the area of cellulite and /or fatty tissue. This increases fat burning directly. It also increases capillary and lymphatic circulation so that metabolic by-products can be carried away. It is used extensively by over 15,000 physicians world-wide as a safe and effective treatment for cellulite.

Usually 4 to 10 treatments are required for noticeable improvement. The treatments are given weekly or every second week. Maintenance treatments are recommended.

Lipo-dissolve is a non-surgical procedure that can reduce and eliminate stubborn pockets of fat. Among the most frequently treated areas are the abdomen, love handles, back rolls, buttocks, chin, thighs and neck.

In this therapy the area of the fat pad is injected with small amounts of medication in order to stimulate beta-receptors which turn on fat burning. New evidence shows that ‘lipodissolve’ therapy causes fat cell lysis. Treatments consist of multiple microinjections of formula which breakdowns fat cells that are then eliminated naturally from the body.

Treatments are given once every two weeks for a total of 4 to 6 treatments (8 to 12 weeks) depending on the size of the area(s) and your desires and expectations. Results are measureable and long lasting; however, maintenance treatments may be required from time to time. While there are no extreme measures of discomfort or downtime associated, every patient has some transient reaction to the treatment. Discomfort may last 72 hr, after which time the discomfort should start to wane.

The MesoLift/MesoGlow is not an alternative to a surgical facelift and it is used to effectively reduce wrinkles, rejuvenate dry, tired and sun-damaged skin by repairing and restoring your skin.

The MesoLift is a series of micro-injections into the top layers of your skin to deliver the medication. The solution used is mixture of vitamins, antioxidants, amino acids and other co-factors revitalize the skin by stimulating the production of collagen which then allows hydration of the skin. Because of the production of new connective tissue and hydration, the skin is tightened. Facial Mesotherapy is NOT a collagen injection, but the necessary ingredients our body’s need to produce our own collagen.

Four treatments are recommended, one treatment every 2 to 3 weeks. Maintenance may be required depending on sun exposure, nutrition, age and other factors. Side effects and complications are at an absolute minimal, results are seen within a day, and some patients see them immediately.

As the skin ages, it gradually loses some of its collagen and fat. These are the materials that prevent the skin from becoming saggy. Thus, as we age, our skin can become wrinkled and often marked with deep lines. Dermal fillers help to restore our skin to its former youthful appearance.

Hyaluronic acid has been use since 1996 with over 2 million treatments worldwide. We use only natural occurring, non animal source hyaluronic acid as our filler (Teosyl). We do not use collagen fillers as hyaluronic acid has largely replaced collagen. Hyaluronic acid is a normal part of our body composition. In fact most of our cells make hyaluronic acid. Material is injected directly into the skin, at the site. The results are instant.

By adding volume by way of filler, wrinkles and deeper lined smooth out. Filler can also add volume to increase definition i.e. lips.

There may be a small amount of swelling in the treatment area which will last only short time. The effects of Hyaluronic acid usually latest between 6-9 months depending on its concentration. This period varies according to the type of skin, the areas treated, the amounts injected and the injection technique. In some cases, the effects may last for up to one year.

The skin is considered the largest organ of the body, and has many different functions. The skin is divided into two main regions, the epidermis and the dermis, each providing a distinct role in the overall function of the skin. The epidermis (outer layer) provides the first barrier of protection. The dermis (inner layer) supports the vascular network to supply the epidermis with nutrients.

The chemical peel is a procedure in which a caustic substance is applied to the skin in order to burn the skin’s outer layer (epidermis), and part of the adjoining inner layer (dermis). The purpose is to eliminate a rough, sun-damaged, large pored, freckled, or blemished skin and restore to it a healthier, younger texture. The removal or a portion of the dermis stimulates the growth of new tissue and helps promote a partial rebuilding of the skin.

The benefits with the peel are a smoother texture, less evident fine wrinkles and lightening of freckles and lentigines.

NOTE: Sunscreen and moisturizer must be used after a peel. Three to five treatments are recommended, spread out at one per month.

Sclerotherapy is a medical procedure to treat varicose veins; more specifically spider veins and reticular veins. It is an inexpensive therapy, requires no hospital stay, and allows a quicker return to work and normal activities.

This procedure uses an injection of a special chemical (sclerosant) into a varicose vein to damage the inside lining of the vein. This irritation causes the vein to close/collapse. During this procedure, the affected leg is elevated to drain blood, and the sclerosant is injected into the varicose vein. The procedure is done in the office and takes about 10-30 minutes, depending on how many varicose veins are treated and how big they are.

Sclerotherapy generally does not require any recovery period. You will usually be able to walk immediately after the treatment but should take it easy for a day or two. You should avoid strenuous exercise for a few days after sclerotherapy treatment and wear support hose to maintain the pressure.

One to three sessions is usually required to treat all veins. These are spread out about 2 to 3 weeks between treatments. After the treatment there will some local inflammation which will resolve after a couple of hours. The results are immediate and long lasting.

You will be required to book in for an initial consultation which will be about 45 minutes.
